Here I have montaged together 6 images which I took using a polaroid camera at Yorkshire Lavender. I wanted to show lots of different aspects of the Yorkshire Lavender and have wide shots and close up shots of the lavender and bees etc. However, because of the simplicity of the camera and not being able to change the F number to create depth of field, the intricate shots of lavender and flowers etc didn't work very well. These 6 pictures have their original colours which were created by the polaroid - quite vintage looking images with warm colours. I havent touched up the colours except making them look slightly more vivid in photoshop as the original images were quite dull and faded looking. I thought that I would like this effect more as it would look more obviously like a set of polaroid images rather than taking square images on a digital camera and adding the white boarder to make them look like polaroids.
Here I have touched up the polaroid images using photoshop. I didn't think that I would like this effect as it may make them look too modern and take away the polaroid qualities but I actually really like the hint of colour - especially the bluey purples as they bring the trueness to the fact that they are photographs of Lavender. I think this set of images look somehow cleaner than the set above.
